Security Analyst
  • Investigates incidents, performs threat analysis, and supports compliance efforts.
  • Manages security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, DLP) and coordinates with IT teams.
  • Works with third-party providers for threat intelligence, incident response, or tool integration.
  • Participates in risk assessments, policy enforcement, and remediation efforts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the security of both on-premises systems and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Office 365.
  • Perform and/or respond to information technology assessments, and/or audits of organizational automated systems and processes, interpret results, and develop recommendations for improvement to management.
  • Provide oversight in the creation and approval process of change management requests.
  • Experience with administration of Endpoint Security, Firewalls, Active Directory, Cloud Platforms including Office 365, Vulnerability/PCI Compliance Assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of information security-related technologies and products (firewalls, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, Endpoint security, MDM, multi-factor authentication, etc.)
  • Review and verify security patch processes to ensure critical patches are applied to systems properly and work with system owners to remediate.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of corporate-wide standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Works closely with other members of the Team to resolve issues or improve system security
  • Associates degree or better in a technology-related field (equivalent training and experience may be considered).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience administering network and IT security system services with a focus on managing enterprise-level Security Tools.
  • Understanding of common network protocols and operating systems along with their relevant security issues.
  • Demonstrates an ability to effectively adopt and integrate new networking and security technologies.
  • Proficiency with working in a team-centered environment with a high degree of planning, communication, change-management documentation, and customer service.
  • Experience in IT security standards frameworks – industry certifications are a plus
  • Experience with IP networking, networking routing protocols and understanding security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, email, Active Directory, LDAP, and access-lists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, energetic team player, able to multi-task and “change gears” with ease
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours, as needed
Work Environment
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
  • This is largely an active role. Requires the ability to lift, squat, sit, bend or stand as necessary. Ability to travel to other sites/locations as needed.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Security
  • Background in education is beneficial
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Appropriate Automobile Insurance Coverage
