IT Security Analyst-Associate

Under direct supervision, responsible for performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and protection of systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

• Identifies potential security threats and responds to reported security violations.  
• Determines causes of security violations and recommends corrective actions to ensure data security.  
• Implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance data systems security.  
• Assists in communicating security procedures to end-users.  
• Provides management with status reports.  
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Technical knowledge of information security platforms, tools, practices, and policies in a multi-vendor environment.  
• Knowledge of platform security and access management design, maintenance and testing.  
• Strong background in protocol and traffic analysis, penetration testing, social engineering, security risk assessments, incident event handling and access control.  
• Skilled in vulnerability and threat management.  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  

• Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or IT is required.

• One (1) year of IT security-related experience is preferred.  

• CompTIA Security+ Certification is preferred.
